The KING Coaching Program is the only professional development program of its kind - a multi-year, holistic hands-on mentored coaching program dedicated to the mastery of the KSI way of physical preparation. Taught by coaches who have achieved what they teach, and live and lead by example.  The physical preparation industry innovators and leaders.

The King Coaching Program consists of a number of levels.

The Coach Intern Program (CIP) is the first level of the KSI Coaching Program. It involves three components (CIP 101, 102, & 103). Typically conducted over a one year period, the KSI CIP provides coaches and KSI the opportunity to review their respective suitability for the next and more demanding stage of the KSI Coaching Program.

When talking about my CIP Boot Camp experience in August 2008 I could tell you "what" happened. We started very early (usually my alarm was set at 5:30am), had a training session before breakfast, 1-2 training sessions and some theory before lunch, another training session in the afternoon and so much great theory information that evenings were late - at one time we worked way past midnight, and that after getting up early and a lot of training during the day.

But telling that would only be half of the story. I believe what makes the camp specially is not only "what" is done, but "how" it is done. The coaches do not only tell you about a holistic approach (professional, business, financial, spiritual, personal development) but live it. There is an understand about linking many different part of once life together to create something more than the sum of the parts that I have never seen before.

This very powerful surrounding made me learn more in 3 days than I learned at university in 3 years (at least more useful information). You are exposed to the Master himself who challenges you to rethink your mindset extensively, to coaches who graduated from the CMP program, coaches in the CMP, coaches in the CIP and athletes - and all very positive and generous people! So learning is not limited to someone telling you something but you also see information applied, watch coaches from one level teach another level, do it yourself and have a chance to ask questions. Altogether I saw a complete different lifestyle that is definitely not for everyone! But I'd rather be part of the successful 5% than of the average 95% on this planet....

Beside being a great learning experience this camp is FUN! Tell me one competitive athlete who wouldn't love to spend all day training, eating the best supplements there are, sleeping in very comfortable beds, having cute twins as waitresses and all that in the beautiful mountains of Park City!
--Andi

As I was flying over to Chicago and subsequently Salt Lake City, I was wondering what to expect at the Sports Camp. Going through the CIP 101 and 102 I had a general idea about the content. However, I had no idea what the live event would be like.

And the camp was a truly different experience. In the 3 days of the Camp days we went through so much that it felt as if something that happened on previous day was actually a week ago! It was a supercharged learning experience. It goes to show just how much is achievable if one's prepared to be focused and committed.

Talking about focus, a huge gain form the Camp was an incredible sense of clarity I got. It is hard to explain in plain words, but I was launched to a completely new level of thinking. And all of this was rounded by the most important part, the action. There was a constant call for action during the camp.

The name might be Sports Camp, but it is certainly much, much more than that. I really appreciated the holistic approach from KSI that aims to build one up as a person rather than just a coach. I am certain that in few year's time, I'll be viewing it as one of the defining moments of my life.

The Coaching Internship Program that King Sports International hosts is a premier event for anyone looking to improve their skills in the Physical Preparation Field. The learning experience is still having effects on my life currently even if it was three months ago. I've walked away from the event learning not only tools for my profession but also how I look at myself and my self beliefs. If your looking for people, role models, or mentors in life that walk the talk: KSI are living examples of what they teach.

There are so many learning experiences to reflect on such as my lessons learned from the physical morning activity, to the two hour stretching, as well as the evening talk with Mr. Carnegie. I'm more consciously aware of what I portray, such as my words, which dictate my actions, which are a reflection of my beliefs. This has been a tremendous help in changing. One of the most memorable parts of the event was during the business / financial evening in which I asked about marketing. The topic of marketing wasn't just of how I wanted to portray my business but also tied in towards reflecting of how I see myself(ie: Maslow's hierarchy of needs). That night made me look at my biggest influences as well as the connections it has financially and professionally.

Some of the challenges I've learned about myself from the event, I currently deal with today but I walked away from the coaching internship more aware and better prepared to handle them. Hearing the truth for betterment was not easy at first but enlightening for helping myself become better in my decisions and actions. KSI brings their wealth of knowledge to expose the interns to real life lessons which it takes to succeed not only in the profession but also in their spiritual personal and financial knowledge.

--Robert

May I express my thanks for being given the opportunity to be a member of the KSI Intern family.  I have learnt a great deal and last nights lecture was fantastic, worth the cost of the intern program in itself.  Thanks!

--Chris Poole, UK

I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed going through the Level One Program. I have read every article you have posted on T-mag (now T-nation!). I also have purchased in the past several of your books. As far as the Level One program goes - I am always impressed with your no nonsense approach - units 13, 14, and 15 were also incredible reads. I showed them to my wife and parents, since it dealt with so much more than just training. Obviously, your training knowledge and experience is unparalleled, but your insight into life in general was refreshing. Thanks again!
--Lee

The level one is excellent. I've been trying to test my knowledge on quizzes prior to reading the content to see just how much I know...needless to say I eventually find myself going over the content and learning so much.
--Sam.

I particularly like the inclusion of the business, financial and personal sections. It is something which is not ever addressed as s&c coaches yet very important as we are trying to make a living from it. Thanks!
--Adrian

Mike, Thanks, the call yesterday was great! Since I've never been part of a conference call prior I didn't know what do expect but I liked it very much and it helped me to see information that I thought I understood in a different light. I wrote over 3 sheets of paper of notes that I will work through again until next Friday.  All the best!
--Andi

I wanted to drop you a line and say that call was great!!! I have read Ian's book foundations, but this really helped put it together. It isn't very often where you buy something like the CIP and feel like the first call was nearly worth the money. I anxiously look forward to the content of the next 5 calls. Just wanted to tell you that what KSI has put together, is looking to be far more impressive than I would have initially thought. Me being an amateur (for now), in all of the areas the CIP covers, this content is really going to push me. That is excellent this call gave me more direction for my personal studies.
--James

I live in small town Canada. There is not really anyone that stands out in the field of physical prep that I can look up to for advice. Plus, many don't like to share their secrets for fear of losing out. If I am going to learn from anyone, it is going to be someone who has faced the same challenges and succeeded.

It has been fascinating being able to link with like minded people through this website. Without sounding like a cliché, it has changed the direction my life took though I didn't know it at the time. It only happened because of interacting with people on this forum though. At first I was afraid to post due to lack of confidence. I believe that has changed. I encourage more people to ask questions, you never know what new friends you will make and who might be able to change your direction and inspire you.

The CIP is a great way to start because I just have to pick up the phone once a month. Every call so far has helped me develop my career and thought processes in one way or another.

I used to procrastinate and got nowhere. I thought I stopped being a student after I finished Uni, I was wrong. Each call has pushed me into action in one way or another.

Ian, Thank-you again for the opportunity to interact and learn from the exceptional coaches from KSI. Each one demonstrates a high level of character and commitment to excellence; the fact that they are willing and able to communicate their skills is a bonus I am grateful to have the opportunity to experience. The value I received is far greater than the monetary cost of the KSI CIP 103 Boot Camp – not even close!

There are many concepts that I was exposed to during my time in Utah that are already proving beneficial as I move forward; a couple in particular.

1. Consistency is the key to any successful endeavor, whether it be physical preparation, business, relationships – anything. Take action every day that will further your goals.

2. Effective time management; deletion and delegation. Get the clutter out of life that interferes with your goals and make time for the important things. I also appreciated the manner in which you suggested our priorities be arranged:

a. Personal health
b. Family
c. Financial – Never allow this to take priority over 1 & 2

The exposure I have had to KSI has caused me to conclude that the training in physical preparation is the finest available anywhere. While this is important, it is more important to me personally that KSI prompts development in all areas of life – personal and professional. It is evident to me that there is a sincere desire to see students grow and succeed in their endeavors – this is far different from many organizations out there.

I would be remiss if I did not let you know how much I appreciated working one on one with Miguel Charles. The time he spent with me is paying dividends in my health and has changed my thinking as it relates to the relative importance of the physical qualities. The added emphasis on flexibility and stretching has made a positive impact on my quality of life already.

My wife Nancy and I have the opportunity to meet with Mike and Rhonda Pimentel next week. This is just one step of action of many that we are making as we move forward on this new journey. I look forward to a continued association with you and your fine organization. Thank-you!

--Dean

I wanted to thank you for giving me the opportunity to attend the seminar and Boot Camp recently - it truly has made an impact, not only in my training, but even more so (and, I feel, more importantly) in my  personal development. It really was a terrific learning and transforming experience, even if I have only applied a fraction of the content so far!

In particular, I have noticed how working with you personally in a group has had a positive impact on my outlook and train of thought, increasing my self awareness noticeably. In fact, to the extent that it has even benefited some of my friends as my attitude has rubbed of on them too! Often, if I am performing an action or discussing certain topics, the question you frequently posed "How much is this going to affect where you are in 5 years?" comes into my mind....in which case if it unproductive we move onto something else. Also, the postural awareness too!

In  meeting three King coaches now (Miguel Charles, Michael Pimentel, and Mitchell Kochonda), I am awed and inspired by the consistency and focus of principle and practice each applies to his life.

All three exude a constant good cheer and constantly strive to do better. I have yet to hear a negative attitude, thought, principle, or even word come from any of them nor have I once heard a hint of blame placed anywhere outside of their own selves.

In my association with all three, I have left feeling enlightened in my own potential and encouraged that by following the example of each of them.

I will most surely reach that potential. That one has come through the coaching program would make me ecstatic to continue in the CIP, that all three are King coaches provides a stunning testimonial for the whole program. Thank you all three for the guidance and inspiration.
--Rachel

I recognize as well the value of your teachings and it's no wonder I connect with Deepak, since you both communicate the same message, just from different backgrounds. This is not a case of one person having more value in what they say, just very useful when I have a book in front of me to read, underline and re-read. You have opened my awareness to all of this and each new book or event that speaks to this awareness increases my understanding. For your involvement in my life as a mentor I am truly grateful. I have been reflecting on your impact on my life to date and I cannot imagine anyone one else in your place.
--Darren Stehle

THANK YOU for all your help in taking me & my business to another level I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR HELP. The CMP has helped me grow so mush in the last year & three months. And it's only just begun!
--Miguel Charles
