Join the
elite ranks of the KING Coaching Program!
The KING
Coaching Program is the only professional development
program of its kind - a multi-year, hands-on mentored
coaching program dedicated to the mastery of the KSI way
of physical preparation.
The King Coaching
Program consists of the following levels:
The Coach
Intern Program (CIP) is the first stage of the KING
Coaching Program. It involves the KSI CIP 101, 102 and
103. Typically conducted over a one year period, the KSI
CIP provides coaches and KSI the opportunity to review
their respective suitability for the next and more
demanding stage of the KING Coaching Program - the Coach
Mentoring Program (CMP).
The KSI
CIP 101:Theory of Physical Preparation Course is a
15 unit home study program. The course consists of study
notes and assessment for each chapter.
(We
encourage you to get started on the KSI CIP 101 ASAP to
be ready for the final KSI CIP 102 for 2008,
which starts Friday 6 June 2008!)
The KSI
CIP 102: Holistic Approach to Physical Preparation
is an 8 week Tele-Conference Call Series that aims to
expose you to the holistic approach that is a trademark
of KSI's approach to physical preparation.
The KSI CIP 103 is a three (3) day live-in
program that aims to expose the CIP coaches to the
qualities of KSI's approach to physical preparation -including
focus, discipline, humility, determination and
excellence.
This program has been a life-changing experience for so
many! Many have attempted to imitate what we achieve in
this program. This is the real deal - from the people
who introduced the 'boot camp' concept to professional
development of the physical preparation coach.
The KSI CIP 101 and 102 are pre-requisites for entry
into the KSI CIP 103.
Successful completion of the KSI CIP 101, 102 and 103
are required to be considered for the KSI Coach
Mentoring Program (CMP).
Regardless of your client market, the KING Coaching
Program can be applied to you and your business.
KSI Coaches are forming an international network of
coaches, teaching the worlds #1 training methods!
Do your
coaching internship through the
KSI Coach Intern
Program (CIP) and get a taste of the benefits and
power of being part of this program! After a year as a
KSI Intern, you could join the ranks of the elite
KSI Coach
Mentoring Program (CMP) coaches!

1. KSI Coach Intern
Program (CIP)
The KSI Coach Intern
Program (CIP) aims to give physical preparation
coaches the opportunity to be involved in a training and
mentoring learning experience with Ian King and the KSI CMP coaches.
Through the CIP intern coaches will be
exposed to the teaching and philosophies of Ian and
his top coaches. Physical preparation coaches/consultants
at any level
of experience looking to advance their professional and
business situation and or gain insights into the KSI CMP
program will find this program extremely beneficial!
May I express my
thanks for being given the opportunity to be a member of
the KSI Intern family. I have learnt a great deal and
last nights lecture was fantastic, worth the cost of the
intern program in itself. Thanks!--Chris Poole,
UK
Participating in this intake has two major
benefits:
a.
You receive the educational benefits from the program.
b.
You give yourself an opportunity to be part of the KSI Coach
Mentor Program (Years 2-4) intake for the following year.
Planning is needed to ensure you are
eligible for this intake.
The KSI
Coach Intern Program (CIP) is a three part process that

KSI CIP 102:
KSI Holistic Approach to Physical Preparation

KSI CIP 103:
KSI Three Day Boot Camp (Live-in program)

KSI CIP 101: KSI Theory of Physical Preparation
(Home
Study Program)
The Theory
of Physical Preparation Course is a 15 unit program. The
course consists of study notes and assessment for each
chapter. The study notes are almost conclusive to
complete the course, however we do recommend a number of
other support texts including the NSCA's 'Essentials of
Strength Training and Conditioning' and Tudor Bompa's
'Theory and Methodology of Training'. The assessment
involves open book assessment and unlimited opportunity
to repeat until the minimum pass mark is attained. The
system is set up such that if you are struggling with
any unit of work, the KSI Director of Education or your
mentor coach will make contact with you.
Level 1 is
focused on the 'Theory of KSI Methods'. It includes the
following fifteen modules, each of these units
valued at $49.95 USD:
- Unit 1 Philosophies of the Ian King Training Methods
- Unit 2 Systems of the body
- Unit 3 Training Theory
- Unit 4 Theory of Flexibility Development
- Unit 5 Theory of Flexibility Development
- Unit 6 Theory of Speed Development
- Unit 7 Theory of Strength Development
- Unit 8 Theory of Endurance Development
- Unit 9 Periodization and Integration of the Physical
Qualities
- Unit 10 Recovery Methods
- Unit 11 Assessment of the Physical Qualities
- Unit 12 Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation
- Unit 13 Business Development
- Unit 14 Financial Development
- Unit 15 Personal Development
To support
your progress in the CIP Theory of Physical Preparation
Course, we have put together the following material that
we believe are the basics to ensure we achieve our
collective goals in this program:
- *
The Foundations of Physical Preparation DVD (usual
retail
value $ 157 USD)
- *
The Way of the Physical Preparation Coach E-book
(usual retail value - $ 34.95 USD)
- *
The Winning and Losing E-book (usual retail value $ 34.95
USD)
* So You Want to Become a Strength &
Conditioning Coach? E-book (usual retail value $ 21.95
USD)
Note you
don't have to purchase the above in addition - they are
included in your course registration fee. They were not
always, but we found some attempting to do the 101 and
skimp on purchasing them, undermining the value of the
course. So we decided to include them in the package.
There are
no pre-requisites for involvement in the CIP Theory of
Physical Preparation Course.
We encourage you to get started on the KSI CIP 101 ASAP
to be ready for the final KSI CIP 102 for 2007,
which starts Friday 8 June 2007!
I just
wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed going through the
Level One Program. I have read every article you have
posted on T-mag (now T-nation!). I also have purchased
in the past several of your books. As far as the Level
One program goes - I am always impressed with your no
nonsense approach - units 13, 14, and 15 were also
incredible reads. I showed them to my wife and parents,
since it dealt with so much more than just training.
Obviously, your training knowledge and experience is
unparalleled, but your insight into life in general was
refreshing. Thanks again!
--Lee
The
level one is excellent. I've been trying to test my
knowledge on quizzes prior to reading the content to see
just how much I know...needless to say I eventually find
myself going over the content and learning so much.
--Sam.
I
particularly like the inclusion of the business,
financial and personal sections. It is something which
is not ever addressed as s&c coaches yet very important
as we are trying to make a living from it. Thanks!
--Adrian

Mike, Thanks, the call
yesterday was great! Since I've never been part of a
conference call prior I didn't know what do expect but I
liked it very much and it helped me to see information
that I thought I understood in a different light. I
wrote over 3 sheets of paper of notes that I will work
through again until next Friday. All the best!
--Andi
I wanted to drop you a line and say that call was
great!!! I have read Ian's book foundations, but this
really helped put it together. It isn't very often where
you buy something like the CIP and feel like the first
call was nearly worth the money. I anxiously look
forward to the content of the next 5 calls. Just wanted
to tell you that what KSI has put together, is looking
to be far more impressive than I would have initially
thought. Me being an amateur (for now), in all of the
areas the CIP covers, this content is really going to
push me. That is excellent this call gave me more
direction for my personal studies.
--James
I live
in small town Canada. There is not really anyone that
stands out in the field of physical prep that I can look
up to for advice. Plus, many don't like to share their
secrets for fear of losing out. If I am going to learn
from anyone, it is going to be someone who has faced the
same challenges and succeeded.
It has been
fascinating being able to link with like minded people
through this website. Without sounding like a clichι, it
has changed the direction my life took though I didn't
know it at the time. It only happened because of
interacting with people on this forum though. At first I
was afraid to post due to lack of confidence. I believe
that has changed. I encourage more people to ask
questions, you never know what new friends you will make
and who might be able to change your direction and
inspire you.
The CIP is a great way to start
because I just have to pick up the phone once a month.
Every call so far has helped me develop my career and
thought processes in one way or another.
I used
to procrastinate and got nowhere. I thought I stopped
being a student after I finished Uni, I was wrong. Each
call has pushed me into action in one way or another.
--Matthew

KSI CIP 103:
KSI Three Day Boot Camp (Live-in)
This is one of the flag-ship events from the company
that first brought professional development Boot Camps
to this industry. Not only were we the first, we still
offer an experience that no-one else can match.
(Although many have tried!)
The
KSI CIP 103 Level 1 Boot Camp has been a life-changing experience
for so many! It's a three day event, in which you are
required to travel to and live-in (usually in a hotel or
similar) and we work intensely (more so on your
mind-set) for three days.
The
pre-requisites for participation in this program include
both the KSI CIP 101(Theory of Physical Preparation
Course) and KSI CIP 102 (Conference Call Series).
-
I want to thank you again for all you did during
the KSI CIP 103 Boot Camp. I can't even begin to
tell you how much I learned and how it has changed
my perspective on life. I look forward to continuing
my growth as a person and hopefully as a KSI coach!
Sincerely.
-
--Brittany
Ian, Thank-you again
for the opportunity to interact and learn from the
exceptional coaches from KSI. Each one demonstrates a
high level of character and commitment to excellence;
the fact that they are willing and able to communicate
their skills is a bonus I am grateful to have the
opportunity to experience. The value I received is far
greater than the monetary cost of the KSI CIP 103 Boot
Camp not even close!
There are many concepts
that I was exposed to during my time in
Utah that are
already proving beneficial as I move forward; a couple
in particular.
1. Consistency is the
key to any successful endeavor, whether it be physical
preparation, business, relationships anything. Take
action every day that will further your goals.
2.
Effective time management;
deletion and delegation. Get the clutter out of life
that interferes with your goals and make time for the
important things. I also appreciated the manner in which
you suggested our priorities be arranged:
-
a.
Personal health
-
b.
Family
-
c.
Financial Never allow this to take priority over 1
& 2
The exposure I have had
to KSI has caused me to conclude that the training in
physical preparation is the finest available anywhere.
While this is important, it is more important to me
personally that KSI prompts development in all areas of
life personal and professional. It is evident to me
that there is a sincere desire to see students grow and
succeed in their endeavors this is far different from
many organizations out there.
I would be remiss if I
did not let you know how much I appreciated working one
on one with Miguel
Charles. The time he spent with me is paying
dividends in my health and has changed my thinking as it
relates to the relative importance of the physical
qualities. The added emphasis on flexibility and
stretching has made a positive impact on my quality of
life already.
-
My wife Nancy and I
have the opportunity to meet with
Mike and Rhonda
Pimentel next week. This is just one step of
action of many that we are making as we move forward
on this new journey. I look forward to a continued
association with you and your fine organization.
Thank-you!
-
--Dean
I wanted to thank you for giving me the opportunity
to attend the seminar and Boot Camp recently - it truly has made an impact, not only in
my training, but even more so (and, I feel, more
importantly) in my personal development. It really
was a terrific learning and transforming experience,
even if I have only applied a fraction of the content so
far!
In particular, I have noticed how working with you
personally in a group has had a positive impact on my
outlook and train of thought, increasing my self
awareness noticeably. In fact, to the extent that it has
even benefited some of my friends as my attitude has
rubbed of on them too! Often, if I am performing an
action or discussing certain topics, the question you
frequently posed "How much is this going to affect where
you are in 5 years?" comes into my mind....in which case
if it unproductive we move onto something else. Also,
the postural awareness too!

2. KSI Coach
Mentoring Program (CMP)
The
Mentored Coach is the second level in the KING Coaching
Program. This is a three year program and only those who
have successfully completed the KSI Coach Intern Program
(CIP) are considered.
The KSI Coach Mentoring
Program (CMP) aims to create profitable businesses for
physical preparation coaches through the provision of
the most effective physical training and business
systems in the world, and in doing so create a network
of coaches internationally who provide consistency of
quality to our collective clients, and perpetuate this
unique training system. Our goal is that you will be
able raise the quality of and therefore the demand for
your services. And as a result of this, you will be able
to charge more for your services and work less if you
wish.
At this
level the coaches undergo the most extensive training
conducted in this industry, and the training of this
caliber over so many years would be rare in any
industry.
A KSI Coach will be part
of an international network, therefore in addition to
your own clients, you can expect referrals from KSI
coaches in other countries who have clients that travel
and these clients wish to maintain the same level of
service. We also get approaches from coaches who want a
physical preparation coach who can service the Ian King
way. In the last few years, we have received requests of
this nature from England, Canada, USA and Australia, to
name a few of the countries. This may provide another
source of opportunity, especially to those who wish to
travel overseas to work.
Coaches in this program
will be tied to the high standard reputation that KSI as
a brand name in sport and training has achieved.
The CMP
is not for everyone, however after the 6-12 months of
your Intern involvement, both you and KSI have a better
insight into your suitability for this program. So
if you interest is strong and you have a true desire to
be part of this elite group, we encourage you to move forward with the KSI Coach
Intern Program.

How does that compare to
graduates of the professional development program you
participated in? How does that compare with you right
now?
In meeting
three King coaches now (Miguel Charles, Michael Pimentel,
and Mitchell Kochonda), I am awed and inspired by the
consistency and focus of principle and practice each applies
to his life.
All three
exude a constant good cheer and constantly strive to do
better. I have yet to hear a negative attitude, thought,
principle, or even word come from any of them nor have I
once heard a hint of blame placed anywhere outside of their
own selves.
In my
association with all three, I have left feeling enlightened
in my own potential and encouraged that by following the
example of each of them.
- I
will most surely reach that potential. That one has come
through the coaching program would make me ecstatic to
continue in the CIP, that all three are King coaches
provides a stunning testimonial for the whole program.
Thank you all three for the guidance and inspiration.

I recognize as well
the value of your teachings and it's no wonder I connect
with Deepak, since you both communicate the same
message, just from different backgrounds. This is not a
case of one person having more value in what they say,
just very useful when I have a book in front of me to
read, underline and re-read. You have opened my
awareness to all of this and each new book or event that
speaks to this awareness increases my understanding. For
your involvement in my life as a mentor I am truly
grateful. I have been reflecting on your impact on my
life to date and I cannot imagine anyone one else in
your place.
--Darren Stehle
THANK YOU for all
your help in taking me & my business to another level I
REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR HELP. The CMP has helped me grow

just begun!
