philosophy. There is no point in enhancing sports performance if
you are contributing to injury potential - the health and
long-term career of the athlete is the primary consideration!

I wish to relate
a recent personal experience to demonstrate the
power of simple yet highly effective principles. As
the Master has taught "It's not a complexity
competition". Results matter, not overcomplicating
things to impress.
A friend of a
very close friend commented that she suffered back
pain. This had been for perhaps 10 years since a car
accident. She has had physio sessions at hospital
for some months or years, but to no positive effect
(although I must clarify these were group sessions).
Out of interest I asked to see the exercises she had
been given. I read them briefly, and asked if she
understood them clearly. She didn't. Neither did I
to be honest!
I applied the
methods I learned in INJURY PREVENTION & PREVENTION
videos.
I observed her
and developed a theory - the cause/contributor.
Later I then tested that theory in a practical way.
The theory was confirmed, and my assessments also
discovered another likely contributor.
I took her
through a series of simple techniques to perform by
herself, and wrote them down for her exactly as I
wanted her to do them.
The following day
she met my friend and commented that for the first
time in memory her back did feel noticeably better.
The interesting
thing is that the methods I used were very simple
yet evidently extremely effective, and I developed
my initial theory rapidly with simple observation -
in under 5 seconds.
